Family Support

Doctors, therapists, teachers, and counselors form a critical care team for people with autism. Often, these same professionals help family members dealing with autism too. But even the most skilled crew of experts can't answer every question or deal with all the issues autism can cause. Autistic people and families need more help. Outside resources, including national organizations and support groups, fill the gaps. Use these tools to connect with peers who understand what you need and what you don't need. Lean on these connections to help you know more about what autism is and how you can overcome common challenges.
