Yes. Elemy provides care for the following conditions:

  • Autism — Issues with communicating, interacting, and more.
  • ADHD — Attention deficit, hyperactivity, impulsivity.
  • Anxiety, depression, and other emotional challenges.
  • Behavioral disorders like ODD, OCD, and other challenges.
If you’re uncertain what’s wrong, we can help evaluate and diagnose your child.

If you are worried about your child’s development, take action right away by scheduling a consultation with us. Don’t wait to see if your child "outgrows" any concerns you may have. Early action is important to setting your child on the right path. Schedule an evaluation with Elemy and we’ll get your child toward a place of long-term wellbeing.

We use applied behavior analysis (ABA) therapy to improve or change specific behaviors in children with autism. Our science-backed, proven care approach is personalized, in-home, and play-based to help your child reach new milestones. ABA changes the environment in order to change the behavior, and is used to improve behaviors like social skills, reading, academics, and communication, as well as learned skills like grooming, hygiene, fine motor dexterity, job proficiency, and simple things like keeping a room clean.

It’s difficult for you to know if your child’s behavior is related to ADHD or something else. At Elemy, our psychiatric experts do comprehensive virtual evaluations to make an accurate diagnosis from the comfort of your home. If diagnosed, our clinicians develop an integrated plan for your child’s unique needs, which includes therapy and family coaching. We’ll collaborate with you at every step, to make sure your child is on the right path.

According to the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders published by the American Psychiatric Association, and followed by Elemy, ODD (oppositional defiant disorder) is a recurring pattern of any of the following:

  • Angry/irritable mood: Child often loses temper, is touchy or easily annoyed, is angry and resentful
  • Argumentative/defiant behavior: Child often argues with authority figures or adults, actively defies or refuses to comply with requests from authority figures or with rules, deliberately annoys others, blames other for their own mistakes or misbehavior
  • Vindictiveness: Child has been spiteful or vindictive at least twice in the past 6 months
Elemy can help you get the right diagnosis and find the right care for behavioral disorders like ODD. Our psychiatric experts will evaluate, diagnose, and deliver world-class care to put your child on a positive path forward.

The most effective care plan for OCD (obsessive-compulsive disorder) is a form of cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) called exposure and response prevention (ERP). With this type of therapy, an Elemy therapist guides the child through facing their fears in a gradual way to help them feel safe. This reduces anxiety associated with their obsessions and compulsions.

For example, if a child is washing their hands excessively due to a fear of germs, the therapist first helps them understand their fears, then teaches them thoughts to calm the fears. Once the healthy thoughts are in place, the child starts to practice facing their fears gradually without the need to wash their hands excessively.

Elemy can help you get the right diagnosis and find the right care for behavioral disorders like OCD. Our psychiatric experts will evaluate, diagnose, and deliver world-class care to put your child on a positive path forward.

Elemy has therapists on staff who can help guide you and your child through ways to cope with any behavioral challenges in school. They’ll teach your child strategies and techniques for displaying appropriate behavior in school settings and help you advocate for any needed interventions in school to help your child behave in a more positive manner.
